On December 3, 2009 Stratford Hall proudly held its Grand Opening Ceremony for the new Primary Years Program (PYP) Building at 3070 Commercial Drive in Vancouver. For the first time since 2005, all Stratford Hall students are located at the same campus. Stratford Hall was formerly located within the Italian Cultural Centre. The PYP Building accommodates over 200 students, with another 175 Grade 6-10 students located at 3000 Commercial Drive. When completed Stratford Hall will have a full International Baccalaureate program for 540 students. The PY building, constructed to meet LEED Gold standards, features a subterranean gymnasium and open classroom plan.
Brook has been associated with Stratford Hall since its inception in 1999. We assisted in securing the Development Permit for the PYP, and coordinated the work of the project team, including Omicron, the project architects. We also participated in community consultation and negotiations with City of Vancouver staff.
