Sandstone (2007-2009)
Location: Nanaimo, BC
Client: Northwest Properties
Brook + Associates provided policy planning and public consultation for this 726 acre area of vacant freehold land in the South end of Nanaimo. The Master Plan includes 2,400 new homes, major commercial and industrial spaces as well as preserves nearly half of the development for parks and open space. In November 2009, the Sandstone Master Plan was approved by Nanaimo City Council (7-2).

Village at Fraser Mills (2006-2008)
Location: Coquitlam, BC
Client: The Beedie Group
Brook provided project management, policy planning and public consultation for an 83-acre site on the Fraser River. The Neighbourhood Plan includes village centre, post-secondary institution, and light industrial and multi-family residential uses. This is the second largest master-plan underway in Metro Vancouver. In November 2008, Fraser Mills Neighbourhood Plan was unanimously approved by Coquitlam Council.

Port Coquitlam City Works Site (2007-2008)
Location: Port Coquitlam, BC
Client: City of Port Coquitlam
The City of Port Coquitlam engaged Brook to provide strategic advice and assistance in a disposition and developer selection process for a prime 4.3 acre downtown site. Brook worked with the City to craft a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) and Request for Proposals (RFP), established evaluation criteria, engaged the development industry and provided assistance in the evaluation process.

Waterfront Landing (2006-2008)
Location: Squamish, BC
Client: Pridham Development
Brook provided project management and consultant team coordination for a 53-acre site in Squamish involving a comprehensively planned mixed-use residential neighbourhood redevelopment project. Other duties have included coordination of municipal approvals and public consultation processes.  Waterfront Landing was approved by the District of Squamish in 2008. 

Ladysmith Waterfront Lands (2005-2006)
Location: Ladysmith, Vancouver Island, BC
Client: Town of Ladysmith and Province of BC
Brook provided the Town and Province with strategic development/planning advice and a land disposition strategy for a 93-acre Town and Province-owned site. We also coordinated the Request for Expressions of Interest and Request for Proposals phases, including proponent liaison, media relations and public consultation.
